Shooting too high

Hello everyone, i am new to archery and i am having a problem with my first bow, its a reflex excursion, set to 60lbs and 29 inch draw. When trying to sight in with my new beman carbon ICS camo hunter 400 (9.1 gpi)
it shoot too high , i have my elevation on the sight and the first pin maxed out and im still sending them over the target at 15 yards. I am using a peep sight and i have lower chin ancher. just wondering if i have something way out of wack?

thank you

The only cure for this problem is to stop doing the chin anchor and move it up. Most folks these days use an anchor where they bury the big knuckle at the base of their index finger behind the jawbone, touching the ear lobe. That will move your peep down, which will allow you to move your sight down and put you in the sight's adjustment range.

What sight are you using? Sometimes you can flip the mounting bracket over and gain some elevation adjustment that way as well.

Of course, we're assuming that the bow is in tune and that the nock point isn't too low in relation to the rest. There's no sense sighting in a bow that isn't in tune yet.
