We used to take High Country Phantom Extreme cams and build some hybrids.

Mostly we put 'em on Mathews Ultralight and 3D Vapor models.We also put them on some Hoyt Super Slams.

The HCA cams REALLY shot nice on the Mathews risers/limbs. Super quiet, and in in general the bow picked up about 8-12 FPS.

I just finished the second version of &quot;Frankenstein.&quot;<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

The bow has a Golden Eagle Natural Series riser, Oregon Black Knight cams, and Alpine #4 split limbs (camo ones this time).

I just got the #4 limbs to replace the #5's that I started with. The bow is 36&quot; a to a with a 6 1/4&quot; brace height. It is very fast, but I need to get to a pro shop with a chronograph to see how fast. It peaks at 62# and has a 30&quot; draw. I have had a little trouble getting it tuned as well as I would like, but really haven't spent too much time at it yet.

The bow is very quiet, and has less recoil than any two cam bow I have shot despite all of the energy storage. The cams are much smoother than I would have thought, and have a good wall, but lacking other modules, I have to stick with the brace height that I have to get the draw length that I need.

This bow reminds me of the Darton Maverick that I had, but is quieter and has a little bit less recoil. I think it is a little faster too. The only thing I am not too sure about is the Natural Series riser. It seems easy to torque. On the other hand, I have not hit my wrist with the string yet, despite the relatively low brace. The string would occasionally vibrate against my wrist with my Mathews MQ1, even though it had a much higher (7 1/2&quot;) brace height.

Avoid the inevitable until it is absolutely unavoidable!

I was at a 3-d shoot and saw a guy with a mathews riser with a Bowtech Cam on it. He had a BT hat on so I guess he loyalty was with BT.
