I wish more guys that post "How is my forum" would see what forum is. Especially how he has his grip, no fingers sticking out, and very little palm, knuckes at a 45 % angle or more....
That drives me crazy to see fingers stick out...:D, then theyteach other to do the same stupid thing, and they wonder why they torque their bow. Sure they can hit a deer at 20 yards, but can they hit a rabbit in the head at 60? I doubt it.

Yeah. And tell me again how it's not possible to shoot very accurately with fingers instead of a mechanical release.;)

It's the Koreans. I reckognize the dude in the hat from the last Olympics.

I think something more in the line of "holy crap!!". That is incredible shooting. Practice, practice, practice (and, maybe, a fair touch of natural talent thrown in).

I don't know about 2 years before touching a bow, but I know it's a significant amount of time before they are allowed to both aim and execute an arrow at the same time. Their training style forces them to perfect each piece of it before putting them together. Kisik Lee (long time Korean Olympic Coach) has some great stuff published that shows how they were such a dominating force for so long in the Olympics. He's now the US coach......;).

Couldn't watch it all, dial up. Saw this guy once who was a mongolian smacking things rapid fire on the back of one of their painted pony's (for you Arthur) shooting one of their shorts bows/fingers. That dude was dangerous.:D

Koreans. Just shows you what anyone can do if they put their mind to it. Be kind of fun to spend some time there shooting with them.

Zen in archery is a very long process. I don't know if the Koreans practice this however.

In Zen, for years they learn to simply draw a bow without shooting it, proper drawing.

Then after mastering drawing the bow, they get to shoot it but only in complete darkness so there is no regards to actually aiming but learning to release properly. .

Finally after years of drawing and releasing do they finally get to actually aim the bow.

Very diciplined.

i need to read that book - zen and the art of archery.

I've read it. Boiled down to it's basic essence, it can be summarized as: Concentrate on your target so completely that the target becomes your whole world. When the whole world is your target, how can you possibly miss?

It's a good book. A slightly different approach than buying your first bow a month before deer season, buying improperly spined arrows, and expecting to hit anything.

Great video.
Ah, the fruits of self-discipline and focus.

In my opinion a guy who shoots like that is less dangerous than the guy who buys the bow at wally's to go hunting the next day......zen or not !!

If he would have posted How's my Form, we would have destroyed the fat boy. His feet are too wide apart and looks like he's facing the target too much.. We'd find things to tell him he sucks. One reason I hate how's my form pics. I started shooting years before most of you were even born, I hate to see what you'd say about my form. Just don't walk in front of my target! :D
