RE: Peep sight question
failed to adjust thetrigger pressure and it came out of the box with no pressure on it. |
RE: Peep sight question
I used the peeps that seperated strings into thirds but drew back on a goat and only saw a black fuzzy blur. I now have the G5 peep that splits into two. Works like a champ. Jim Fletcher also makes good peeps. Good luck

RE: Peep sight question
I have tried a number of peeps and prefer the G5 Meta peep as well.

RE: Peep sight question
PS - a lot of shops will install a peep without tying it in. They must be expecting the archer to fine tune the exact position and then tie in their own peep. If ya don't tie it in, it's gonna move.

RE: Peep sight question
A little hit of help to aline the peep perfect.
Once you have the peep sitting where you want it on the string, it will take a number of shots to seat the peep in the string. If the peep slightly turns and when you draw back you see only a slanted hole from the peep. Grab the peep and pull it up the string to turn itleft Or Pull it down to turn the peep to the right. you will only have to move the peep 1/16 -1/8 to get a 1/4 in turn. This will not make any difference to your anchor point at all. You will not even notice the difference. You can adjust a peep perfect at draw by this slight move and shooting a few times untill perfect. Once it seats it will not turn again. |
RE: Peep sight question
Once the peep gets seated; if it still doen't line up, you can sometimes play with a little twisting of the bowstring to get it perfect. Also, if it still doesn't want to cooperate, you can just tie your string loop in (tight) to be rotated the same amount as the peep - so that, at full draw, they both wind up in the same plane.
For me, there is certain perfect spot for the peep relative to the nocking point. If I adjust it up or down, even 1/8", something just isn't right. |
RE: Peep sight question
ORIGINAL: archer 2 Your own quote here shows you did the wrong thing. Even the same release will not always shoot in the same place . You went out to the woods hunting without testing the release. As I said the onus is on you , for not preparing properly. Your own words bury you. |
RE: Peep sight question
I would not use a peep with tube attached period, and it's not necessary with a quality string. 2 of the best choices in tubeless peeps are the Tru-Peep or the G5 Meta Peep both available in a wide range of sizes;)
