Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
I ordered a Patriot Dual Cam, but am having second thoughts. I am considering a VFT, has anybody shot both of them and what is the main difference? I shot an 02 Pat last year and would like to know how these bows compare to last years(recoil, noise, overall shot feel). Any comments would be appreciated. Thank you

RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
I only shot the VFT a couple of times one day. I shot my Patriot Dual cam for league wed night(60 arrows) and it is smooth to draw and great to shoot.
I don't think you can go wrong with either one. aka MALENURSE, aka Cajun67 Aim hard, aim harder!! Edited by - BAYOUBENGALS on 01/24/2003 00:08:09 |

One word--Dually!
"Why have one when you can have two of the same"? Seriously, they both shoot very well, and it's up to each person to decide what feels best to them.<img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle>Pinwheel 12 Edited by - Pinwheel 12 on 01/24/2003 06:39:27 |
RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
RO, IMO a dual cam bow will provide a little better energy transfer to the heavier weight arrows used for hunting.

RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
They both are great but they do shoot a bit different. I myself like the Extreme VFT better that the Pat Dually. It is also nice to have adjustable letoff depending on your needs. I simply like one cams better than 2 for general hunting & shooting.
Try both & make up your mind....only way to knwo for sure. Either way you won't go wrong! |
RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
I shot both of these bows side by side and to tell ya the truth,... I would like to have both. They are different animals however. In the end I opted for the Patty Dually because of the added pop!!! This baby is some kind of fast but drew surprisingly smooth. I didn't think recoil or draw was any sort of a problem plus shooting them bare bow means little to me when they're going to be tricked up with so many SVL goodies anyway. If you want 80% let-off then you'll have to go to the VFT...if not, then stay with the Patty.Either way, they are AWESOME bows!!!

RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
I finally got my 30" Pat dually in. It is INCREDIBLE!!
With the 7.75" BH it is shooting a 365gr arrow 334 fps. So far it is the closest thing to the "perfect" bow I've shot. >>>-----SPEED KILLS----> |
RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
How did you get a 30", I thought they were not ready yet? I am waiting on a 30" that was ordered in December.

RE: Extreme VFT vs Patriot Dual Cam
I asked BT shooter the same thing. I'm not sure. I'm waiting to hear back from him. I was one of the first to order one, but I was still expecting to have to wait a little longer. I may have gotten one of the "long" 30's. I haven't checked the exact draw length yet, but it doesn't feel too long. It fits me perfectly.

500, you lucky dog!!! Now check those module screws, put on new nocks on your arrows and watch the cable slide for wear. Even if it's YOUR bow I don't want anything to happen to it until I read your full INDEPTH report!<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle><img src=icon_smile_clown.gif border=0 align=middle>
