Opinions on Trap Door arrow rest.
I'd like to get your opinions on this rest pro's and con's. Experiences using it compared with other fall away rests. Thanks.

RE: Opinions on Trap Door arrow rest.
I've never used one, but a friend did. All I can tell you is he was so happy with it in the summer, by the end of deer season it was off and he went to a Trophy Taker. I'm pretty sure it malfunctioned at the moment of truth.

I've had one on my Legacy for the past 10 months, and never had it fail. Works great. Was out in rain and snow this past hunting season and it worked every time. What I like about it is there is no string or cable hooked to my bow string.

Pro...No strings or cables Great fletch clearance easy to tune Cons...They apparently don't work all the time!? All the posts I read (alot) start with singing the praises of the Trap Door rest...and then a week, a month, 2 months later report that it broke down, usually at the "crucial moment". I did notice 27 (yes,I counted) returned at Cabela's in the Bargain cave. That was enough for me to disregard it but form your own opinions. Trushot }}------> |
