draw length question

I have a question, I bought my bow used a shop last year and the guy fitted me with a bow with too long of a draw length. The draw lengh of the bow is 31 inches and my draw length is 29.5 inches. It may sound silly but I dont know how bows are worked on, sois it possible to shorten the draw length by 1 1/2 inches? I am not sure what kind of cams I have so here are some pics.

The brand is High Country and I am not sure of the model, but it says American on the side.

It looks like the cams have modules if that is the case then it just a matter of getting the right modules and putting them on.

You wont need to press the bow to change modules.

RE: draw length question

Your bow does indeed have modules to change draw length. Whether or not you cn find them for those old hatchet cams is the question. You might try seeing if there are numbers or letters on the present modules to see what they are. Then post here and www.archerytalk.com and see if anybody can help you with a set that you need.

Don't expect much though. These cams have been out of production for quite some time.

I found W1 and W2 and HB on them

RE: draw length question

By the camo pattern and the cams the bow appears to be an old High Country. I magnified the photo and W1 is on the cam body. Is W2 on the bottom cam by any chance? The HB is on the module. I don't know just what the HB means, but if you should find somebody that has modules or one of these bows then he should know what you need and make some recommendations.

To get to the masses I would try www.archerytalk.com. www.bowcountry.com is another one.

Not sure about this, but type in your browser: groups.msn.com/archeryrepair Click on the bow specs section at the left side of the page. You may get some info from there.
