One of my arrows is a dud...gotta question
I had a half dozen of fletched arrows that had never been shot that I decided to shoot today. So I screwed a BH on and started shooting just to make sure they all flew correctly.
Anyway, one of those arrows would curve to the right in flight. Almost similar to a curve ball. All the vanes appeared to be intact and the arrow didn't seem to have a wobble when spin-tested. Keep in mind, I was using the same broadhead on each arrow. What else could have caused this? BTW (not that it matters): Before I installed the inserts, I floated each of these arrows to find the stiff side of the shaft and I shoot that side down. |

well you could try and spin the nock.If it's the arrow it will go in a different direction.

I say shoot it thru paper, and rotate 120 degee each shot. See if it produces a different tear. I recently found 3 out of 12 carbon express edges that had bad spines on one side.

Only one dud out of six? Based on my past experience with carbons, I'd stick a blunt on that one for squirrel/bunny busting, consider myself one lucky sonuvagun and go on with life.;)

RE: One of my arrows is a dud...gotta question
I've just never had one this bad before. I'll try turning the nock and see what happens. I do know that I put a FP on there and it seemed to fly perfect. I know its not the BH though since the other ones flew well with it.
I'll let you guys know what I find. |
