Martin bengal Question

Is the cam on the Bengal considered a soft or medium hard single cam?
How do you all like this bow? A friend of mine is getting it and i was just curious.

RE: Martin bengal Question

I think martin bows in general are top notch and undersung, sort of the Savage of archery. Was considering the Bengal or Pantera but then decided I wanted to get a little "higher end" bow. Wish I had followed my first thought and went with the martin, would of saved money and got the same or better quality bow. As far as whether it is a hard or soft cammed bow, it is IBO rated around 310fps so it has to be at least a medium hard cam to achieve those speeds, same as any bow with those kind of numbers. hope it helps.

RE: Martin bengal Question

It supposedly draws like a soft cam, but if you're thinking about getting properly spinedd arrows I'd err and call it a med-hard. It's a hell of a bow for the money, but you may not like the grip. It's an ugly feeling piece of rubber. Look into putting a Thermal Elite on it and it'll feel a lot better.
