fletch glue?
 

hi all what kind of fletch glue do you use..........i have bohning fletch tite but the flechings are not holding to the wraps.

anything better out there?

Bohnings glue did not work well with my wraps either. Try using Quik Spins glue, I have tried it and they are holding. I am shooting a WB too.

What vanes are you using? I use wraps and bohning fletch tite with my wraps and blazer vanes and I have no problems. I can't even rip them off when grabbing the vane and pulling on it with my hands. Are you using older glue? May have gotten a bottle that had been sitting on the shelve at the store for a while...

i am using duravanes.........w/ a wb rest..........how do you like the blazers i am thinking of switching.......

Be sure that your WB is tuned properly and that you are nocking the arrow where none of the fletchings will hit the black bristles. An improperly tuned WB or the black bristles will rip them off no matter the glue. But I had them same problem. My wraps just didn't like the bohning glue. Reflective wraps.

i'm trying it again rt now...........tjhis time i am using alcohol prep pads on the wraps and vanes.................wish me luch lol

For vanes, I use whatever gel type superglue I can get at WalMart. Only thing I use for feathers any more is Bohning Fletch Tape. Clean the shafts with water and let them dry overnight before fletching. Then I dot each end of the fletch with either FletchTite or Duro cement.

i redid a few arrows tonight............i re-wrapped them......wipped em down w/ alcohol pads.....let them dry.....wipped the vanes w/ alcohol......let them dry.and attached them w. fletch tite........they seem to hold better. maybe oils from my fingers prevented a tight bond.i'll shoot em tomorrow and re-post.

Ive tried several types of glues over the last few years. I was using quickspin glue last year but switched to blazer vanes this year and that stuff just wouldnt do it. I bought a bottle of easton quick bond adhesive and that stuff is just awsome. Works on vanes, feathers, inserts you name it and it holds it.

I was using the Biohning Fletch tite as well and the last batch of arrow's i done for a friend turned out real bad ,but in previous use I would say it was great . I wiped the arrow's down as well and still didn't work well ,i was thinking maybe because the weather was so warm that it may have caused this problem or maybe because it was sitting for so long .

Good to know there's other good adhesive glue's on the market . Now if I can find some of that Easton quick bond ,I'll be back in business.
