anyone familiar with the UNI-CAM?

A guy at work brought in a bow to show me,said he got a $500.00 bow package for $75.00 and shows me a Jennings unicam that he got from a friend in exchange for work he did for them.He says he got arrows, rest, old sight set-up,and i believe he also got a release.I looked up that bow and it looks like it was made in 1987?

Are you talking about the Unistar from Jennings? They were a late 80s, early 90s bow. The ones with idler wheels on each axle, and a riser mounted cam below the grip. Is that what he has? If so, they have been going for $55-85 on ebay for a while. They may have been $500 new, but in the early 90s, top of the line bows were mostly $350 or so, at least that's what I paid for a Hoyt Superslam.

The uni-cam made a short comeback on a Golden Eagle after that companybecame part of North American Archery Group in the late 90's. THAT bow might have sold for $500, but not the Jennings.
