Arrow Weights

Hi All,

I have a quick question about arrow weights. I've been using Beman ICS 340's and they have worked well. I just purchased some Gold Tip 5575 XT's this morning and I didn't check the arrow chart before purchasing them. My bow is a single cam (mild) 73lb draw weigth and the arrow length I ordered was 29.5". According to the Gold Tip chart I should have ordered the 7595 XT's. Will this make a difference?

Thanks,

Jesse

I believe that you will want the 7595's.

Should I try it? I could always turn my draw weight down 5lbs and it should be fine. Am I thinking clearly? or did I really mess up?

5575 is supposedly a .400 spine so there is no doubt that they are underspined for your bow weight and arrow length. Yes, you can turn the bow down 5#, but don't be surprised if they still won't fly well. At that length about 65# is pushing the envelope.
