I shoot gold tips...some in camo...some bare shafts and have never had a problem with noise while drawing. Not sure why some shafts have that problem and others don't.

In my opponion you shouldnt have to sand your arrows just so they dont make noise. Thats why i use a drop away with mole skin, its dead quiet.

why?????????? Its cost 2 dollars for sandpaper and it works. Your not stripping the paint just polishing it smooth. Not a big deal.

Tossed it in the collection plate did ya?

I had no intentions of putting a WB on my XT last year, until hearing of contact problems and timing issues with drop away rests....and then the simplicity of the WB sounded pretty good. No noise here...and no regrets.....so far.

You can get rid of alot of this by shooting in the biscuit about 100 shots. Are you using the b-2 biscuit or the old style black biscuit ? Another trick instead of sanding your arrows use a little armorall wipe your arrows. This also assist's in removing them from the target. I do this with all my arrows. I shoot beman ics 400 and goldtip pro hunters. Some arrows as previously mentioned are rougher than others.
