I needed to ask a question , my draw length is 27.5 what size arrows can I use ( the length )

i have a 28" draw and with the nock my arrows are 26 inches in length.

I would suggest you draw your bow back with an arrow nocked and have a buddy take a magic marker and mark the arrow so it is not extending out past the riser.

....A good rule of thumb is 1.5" shorter than your draw length.

No hard and fast rule here. Where is your rest mounted? And think ahead as to whether you may ever relocate it more forward. Generally speaking you would want the end about an inch forward of your rest.

I usually just cut my arrows the same as my draw length. This allows me to mount any rest I so desire and work with any bow I want to shoot.My draw length is 27" and all my arrows are, too.

Don't get concerned about a speed increase with the shorter arrow unless it allows you to shoot a lighter spined one. For instance, if you shoot a given arrow at your draw length (27.5") and want to gain more speed by cutting an inch off of that same arrow you will only gain about 2 fps because you're only removing about 8gr of arrow weight. You're better off to just shoot the longer arrow and be done with it. Just be sure your arrows are spined properly for your setup.

If you are a more experienced shooter then you would know that anything long enough that you don't draw it past the rest is fine, but then if so you wouldn't be asking this question.

dont cut before marking them if ur riser is out a littlw bit 1 inch shorter is too short.

My draw length is 29". I have my NAP Quiktune 1000 rest mounted as close to the rear of the riser as it can go, which is fine. A perfect 29" arrow is exactly "...there" at the bare minimum cut length (for safety reasons), and won't fall off the rest. But yet, all of my Beman ICS Hunter 340's were somehow cut at the bow shop to be 29.25" (1/4 in too long), which is no big deal. Better to be too long than too short! ;) When you think about it, 1/4" is hardly even noticable, even with the arrow selection programs and FOC calculators.

I picked a weight range I wanted to be in, then figured out the correct spine to get me there. I have a 29" draw and my shafts (minus nock) are 28.5". There is more to the equation than just shaft length. Make sure your spine is where you need it to be.

I'm shooting a 27" arrow with a 30" DL using a QAD rest. Ilike the GTarrows and wanted to stiffen the spine so I cut them as short as I feel comfortable with. I probably could go 26" if I wanted to.

The rest has a lot to do with how short you can go The combination of arrow spine, draw weight, DL, & tip weight is the determining factor in how short you should go.
