fletching glue ? about clean up
 
alright guy s I got all my new fletching stuff this evening so I went ahead a starting fletching a few arrows... What do you guys do about the little excess glue that is on the shafts after fletching , that is around the blazers... Thanks

If there is not that much then just leave it but if it is in excess then wipe it off with a qtip.

Also, remember to put a dab of glue on the leading edge and the back edge of the vane or feather.

Thanks Redneck,and I have already done the drops at each end. It really wasnt much glue at all I just didnt think about wiping it off while it was in the clamp still wet...

I use a toothpick to go along the edge of the vane to get the excess glue off. Then I use the glue on the toothpick to put a dab on each end of the vane.

That is a good idea. Especially for me because I use Goat Tuff glue. That stuff is very runny and sometimes when I am doind the spots of glue on the leading and back edge of the vane it runs everywhere.
