Stringless Peep

Is there any real advantage to having a stringless peep? I'm thinking about putting one on my bow. I want something good for low light conditions. Are these better?

yes they are, I have changed mine to a tru-peep and I won't change back.
No more rubber tubing getting stuck into something, no more pulling at my string or loss of speed...

I switched to a peep without tubinglast year (Surza Peep, I think). I love it - no more worrisome tubing.

Igot a jim fletcher peep fitted ,there has to be advantages ie ..no rubber tube to snag and it must effect your speed a little.
Happy as larry with mine ,lines up all the time .

RE: Stringless Peep

I think the tubes are noisy and wear out cables. They don't even pull the peep straight (which is really noticable on my bow) because the cable is off to the side. Tubes dry rot and have to be checked and replaced. Ideally the peep should line up without the help of the tube anyway, so why not just get rid of it?

tubeless are probably faster, they can have bigger holes, but can be hard to set up.

With some of the lower end bows on the market they do not have the best strings that come stock, so a tube on the peep will rotate it so that you can see through it. If you have a higher end string then it is not needed.

If your peep ir rotating fine then you don't need it. It is only there to make the the peep rotate into the shooting position so you can see through it.
