What do you recommend?

I bought my first bow last night, and purchased in on eBay. It is a Bear Whitetail Master, with a 29" pull.

What length and weight arrows do you recommend I hunt deer with. Also, what broadheads do you recommend. I believe my shots will range from 10 to 40 yards, with most being about 25.

thanks,
ths78

RE: What do you recommend?

probably 29" (dunno for sure)

I like heavier carbon arrows (10-11 gpi) that are fairly straight and consistant. Camo arrows add weight. Get an arrow in your price range that will spine correctly with your bow and broadhead size.

Maybe CX terminator xp selects or Rebel Hunters and G5 broadheads.. There are pleanty of arrow and broadhead choices. Heavier arrows penetrate better and are quieter than light, fast arrows.

Take your bow with you to a pro shop. Have them check your bow over, and make sure it fits you. Then let the pro determine what spine and length you need. Pro shop, not package store like Bass pro or Cabela's.

Hey now Rev, not all "package stores" offer horrible advice/service.

I happen to work in the archery departmentat Sportsman's Warehouse here in Spokane. One guy who works with me worked for Hoyt before moving to Spokane and the other ran a shop locally for quite some time.

Thanks for the pat on the back, bud.

:D;)
