Newbie bowhunter needs help!

I know there are different types of rests, but I dont know much about them. Which type of rest is the best for a compound, I will be using a release. Could you also describe the different types of rests? THANKS VERY much in advance.

A little more info??? Kind of bow, application( hunting, 3d), prefered broadheads(fixed, mechanical), fingers or release??

i will be using a Browning Bridger Plus compound with a release. Fixed 3-Blade broadheads. The bow will be for deer hunting. Is that enough info Trushot_Archer?
