Paper Tuning Help
I’m trying to paper tune my backup bow – just put on a new rest.
It seemed like the back of the arrow was ‘slanting’ just a little bit to the left after it was shot from the bow. What do you make of the paper tuning pics? It seems like it supports that theory – or am I looking at this wrong? I’m hoping that I’ll need to just make a small adjustment to the rest? |
RE: Paper Tuning Help
Thats a pretty bad tear. Most likely clearance issues. Make sure your cables are out of the way, and your arrow has enough room to get thru your riser without contact. Also make sure your rest is getting out of the way.
Last time I had this tear, my spine was too weak. |

Forgot to mention that the rest is a WB...

RE: Paper Tuning Help
Bare shaft tune to check for spine, but also check for clearance issues. If your shooting blazer vanes they are taller than other vanes and can cause contact issues with cables and riser. Are you a lefty or do you shoot right handed. With those tears you would have to shoot left handed if the problem was in fact contact issues with the riser or cables. If not check the spine. Good Luck.

Ended up adjusting the WB a little bit back and to the right. Shooting through the paper fine now. Thanks for the help!
