Side mount STS
Does anyone know how the side mount STS attaches to the bow ?
Thanks ! |
RE: Side mount STS
You use the lower quiver hole in the riser of the Hoyt bows. The STS has a triangle insert that fits in there and screws from the other side. See if the pictures below help. They are all I have right now.

RE: Side mount STS
I think an sts is more usefull on bows with longer strings. My Protec I don't think would benifit. A Darton I have would even though it's shorter ata. The string is a couple inches longer and the poundage is less causing the string to vibrate more. Looking into it.

RE: Side mount STS
Thanks wihunter for the pic. So it's a relatively small triangle.

RE: Side mount STS
Yes I bought one, and mounted it the same way. At first the rod was angled upward to much and did not meet the string perpendicular, but I bent it downward until it was. Now it looks and works good.

RE: Side mount STS
Thanks for the replies guys. About what size holes are they. I have two in that area. An arrow will fit through one hole and the other is a bit smaller than that. Would one of those holes work ? THANKS !
