I heard something about twisting the strings to give a bow a higher peak weight and was wonderinbg would that effect acuracy at all.

First its best to get the proper drawlength and poundage on your bow from the get go, and use twisting of the string and cables to maintain your bows timing. If you spin down the string you will shorten the drawlength, shorten the power stroke of the bow. If you spin down the cables it will lengthen the drawlength. All of this can be done, but it is best left to a very qualified bow tech to accomplish. If improperly done it can effect accuracy, change the cable or string lengths you effect bow timing. My suggestion is to purchase a higher poundage bow at the proper draw where you do not sacrafice anything.

actually if you twist your string (make it shorter) you lower your peak weight, if you twist your harness to make it shorter it will raise peak weight. Would it effect accuracy, that depends on if you change the tune of the bow. If you throw your cam or cams out of time or sync, or moved your nocking point, then yes it could. You could also shoot worse because of the raised draw weight and not being used to it, or if you were close on spine it could make your arrows weak. Any time you change anything on your bow it can effect your accuracy, good or bad.
