I can't wait to get mine! Does anybody know anything about the valley and the wall on the new dual system? What about the strings? I know that Bowtech signed the contract with winners choice, but I wonder if the Dually Pats will have them. Anybody have any experience with these "cable tuners" what are they like?
As soon as somebody get's one they better start typing!!!!!!!!!

I could not help myself so I called my pro shop and was told my DUALLY is on the way.

Pat, I think you need to talk BowTech into shipping all their bows to me here in Nebraska so I can ship them out to everyone, you know, central location and all<img src=icon_smile_tongue.gif border=0 align=middle> That way everyone would get their bows at the same time! Sounds good to me walks... I'll see what the guys say about it... As long as you send me one first... Heck I haven't even ordered a 2003 bow yet... I'm slippin...

I did get to shoot about 20 or so arrows through my dealers Extreme VFT this evening...WOW!!!! Wait til you all see and feel the new grips... It can't be any slimmer or more comfortable for a wood grip..I know there will still be folks that don't like it but I'll bet good money more like the new grip than the old one...

The EX VFT shoots great and it seems to be just as smooth and quiet as the 2002 Patriot...IMHO...

The bow absolutly balances great too.

Without any accessories on it, it sits in the open hand and just barely falls slighty forward... Should be great when all set up with accessories...

If you get the chance to check out the Extreme VFT, Do it...I think you'll like it...

It depends on what it is. They have various colored risers in now and they ship some daily.

They may have a certain color for a certain model one day and it may be gone te next...

The sooner the order is placed the sooner the bow with be built and shipped.

The dealer closest to me just called to say that he got his DC Patriot in today, so I'll be able to shoot it tomorrow.

But....the one I ordered from my regular dealer, and am committed to buying ( WAY BEFORE THE LOCAL DEALER ORDERED HIS)still hasn't arrived yet. &quot;Shipped according to when the orders were placed&quot;.....My A$$!!

I'm a big a Bowtech fan as anyone, but this pizzes me off. Larger volume dealers are given priority over the smaller guy, no matter what anyone says.

So, I'l be able to shoot one tomorrow, but there is no telling when MINE will be in.

Since Ausie guy is dragging tail on posting his report, how about you post some of your findings, please please please please. I'm desparate, I'm like you, ordered mine from a smaller dealer and he said don't expect it to be to him before Jan 15th.

Still wondering why Bowtech Shooter hasn't shot one yet.

I suspect Pat (BTS) doesn't have one yet, because he gets all the new bows to bring around to the shows/shoots..he probably hasn't ordered anything for his personal use till he shoots them all to see what he wants. He'll be shooting it plenty (along with everyone else) at the AMO or whatever they are calling it now Show. Not that I'm speaking for him, but he has to wait like everyone else till they send him stuff from what I gather.

Hell, he told me the other day he shot a EXVFT for the first time at the shop he works for...LOL...

Yeah, I know, but it would be this type of person that Bowtech should be getting the bows to first. Get them out there and shot and letting people know how great they are, but that is my opinion.

I too have heard that the Ext VFT is a killer when it comes to recoil and hand shock, absolutely none, is what my dealer told me, but I haven't been to get there to shoot one because of work, maybe next weekend. Could of saved $100 but now it looks like I may have to spend another $599. he he

I just got bad news. I called my dealer today to find out where my DC is, so he called Bowtech, and it turns out that they're having some kind of problem with the 30&quot; modules. Something about them drawing 30 1/2 or so, and they didn't want to ship them that way. I told him that would actually be better for me, but he didn't think BT would ship it that way. At any rate, it's gonna be a couple more weeks for the 30&quot; draws. He also said that the 29&quot; draws shipped out today. Sounds like they're shipping them out incremently based on the draw mods.

Well, if you tell me that, I believe it. I know you are a straight shooter (pun intended). I really appreciate all of your help.

I wasn't able to get away from school in time to get there, so it will be tomorrow before I get to shoot it. It's tough being such a nice guy. I'm tempted to buy the one here and save a 2 hour drive, but I just can't do it.

I finally got to shoot it. If he had a 30&quot; in stock I would be getting two DC Patriots. It is that good. I love the feel of the cam with a little extra let-off, solid back wall, and super fast. I think the recoil is actually less than the Patriot. With the vft and dual cams, I think that would be expected; everything symetrical and moving vertically.

I know you can never please everyone with grips, but for me it is PERFECT!! This is just an initial impression after only a few shots. I will be able to elaborate once mine comes in.

I talked to the guys at BT this afternoon and they said BTS was putting yours together and had major problems and they cant ship it before June<img src=icon_smile_big.gif border=0 align=middle>

I am certainly no expert when it comes to bows, but do not think the new '03 Patriots are that much better than the '02 model. I have had 3 days to shoot this new bow and do like it more each time I shoot it.

The speed is better per the factory spec sheet, but only by 10 fps. I have not chrono'd it yet for myself. The bow is noisier than my '02 (but again it is faster), but I am not overly impressed with Bowtechs &quot;hush&quot; products. My '02 models have Sims products on them and that may make some difference.

At first, I thought the draw cycle was worse on the '03, but now have decided it is only different, not better or worse.

Please do not take this the wrong way, I like this bow and really like Bowtech products. I went through about 6 different bows in '02 before I shot a Patriot (and immediately bought a second as a backup). I just do not want people to think they are getting some huge step up from last years models.

Jrb, I also have the '02 Pat and love the bow even if it is a little top heavy. The '02 Pat was a great bow IMO that needed only a few refinements which is what BowTech has done in '03. Although I haven't recieved mine yet, I will enjoy the weight savings, better balance, smaller grip, more accuracy and even 10 more fps will be good. I wonder what they can improve on in '04? Much more stored energy in the draw cycle for more speed may be too much for the majority of archers. I think BowTech has given us what we wanted in a hunting bow with as high a brace as the Patriot Dually has. One thing for sure, we'll know more at this time next year!
