RE: broadheads
They look nice, but I haven't tried them. Sorry that I couldn't be better help. Keep in mind that the big companies put the names on a less expensive blade for profit reasons... However, they must be a decent enough blade not to hurt their company name. (confusing hey)
I use the NEW Maniac broadhead fromAfterShock Archery and their awesome and made in the USA.Plus you can use them as a 2 or 4 blade. Good Luck! ![]() |

RE: broadheads
Those tips are probably made by Muzzy for Cabelas. They look a lot like a muzzy and have the same construction. Plus, the FX-3 designation is close enough to MX to figure it has to be theirs.

Good catch gselk. I didn't read the entire description. Those are definitely made by Muzzy then.

RE: broadheads
I guess now you have to go back to the outback to hunt big game. :D A few mates from over there have arranged a couple of hunts for me so it is going to be fun. |
RE: broadheads
6 for $20.00??!! "If it's too good to be true . . ." I'm not a big fan of aluminum in broadheads, Can get dented, scratched, gouged, and ultimatley throw things off. Just not right for penetration either. The blades (being hollow and thin: .030") look likely to shatter on bone and not do you much good.
Look, in most hunting seasons, how many shots on game do you get? Why take a chance on bargain equiptment? Spend $25.00 for three Slick Tricks and sharpen them, or hbuy new blades every year. |
RE: broadheads
Are you serious? The Muzzy has been used for over 20 yrs with great success and it's aluminum ferule. It's not like they use the same aluminum used for a soda can.
And .030 is thicker than many heads out there. If they are the Cabela version of the Muzzy there is absolutely nothing wrong with them. |
