I started at about 70# for about 18 yrs 1 yr ago moved down to about 60# accuracy picked up big time and i can now hold at full draw for about 3 full minutes the best was i really didn't sacrifice the speed i thought i would still at about 265

I use recurves and longbows whichrange between 54#'s at 29 through 74#'s at 29.

64# @ 29.5" I could acctually do fine with much less... but a little overkill never hurts.
