Default trophy ridge matrix w/ v drive questions

How does the v drive system work on this I have a chance to get a new matrix w/v drive for about 50 bucks. If it comes w/ v drive is it all one piece or can you remove v-drive I'm pleading total ignorance, I know a lot of folks likethe vertical pins but have never really seen any up close

vdrive is a quick adjustment system which allows you to move your sight aperture easily fordifferent yardages.

Removal of the vdrive screw system would cause the sight to not function correctly, I believe.

50$ is a good price though.
