arch in arrow flight.
 

hello, i'm new the forums and fairly new to huntung. i have a fred bear instinct at 70# and am currently shooting easton epic st arrows that are 400's cut at 28.5 inches with 100 grain broad heads. the problem i'm having is there is a noticable arch in my arrow flight. the bow is sighted in . is there a solution to this? i'm going to be switching to the maxima hunters with the front of center. will this help? any info and advice will be greatly appreciated. thankyou for the help.

the arch is way more than what i had with my early 90's hoyt bow. the arch is more noticable than i thought. my buddy noticed it too.

How many yards are you shooting? All arrows are gonna have an arch to them at longer ranges. At 20 yards it shold not be noticable but at 40 yards even the fastest arrows you can see it. It is called GRAVITY.

Then you must not have the bow set at 70#. Those arrows should be flyin pretty flat at 20 yards. See if the bolts that hold your limbs onare screwed all the way in. If they aren't screw them all the way down and try it again.

I have a guardian set at 71# and am shooting FMJ's, which are pretty heavy arrows. It is hard to follow them at 20 yards they are going so fast. And no noticable arc either.

are you hitting your target?at 70#'s there should be no arch at 20 yards

my bow specs say 73 on the cert and 70 on the limb it's self. i'm hitting my target dead on.

All arows shot to a target at the same level fall at relatively the same rate (gravity determines this). The arc and amount of drop are determined by the time it takes to get to the target. An arrow that arcs more to the same target is simply traveling slower.

Are you talking actual arc or the oscillations of the arrow itself? Perhaps the spine isn't right?
