I'd go with a two or fourdegree offset. Mine are 4 deg. and they work just fine.

BigJ, what you shooting with that FN 49'er and how old is she ?
My dad had one but I had to give it up when he died, he didn't have the permits for it and I was too young to get it...

I'm gonna post a pic of my WB set up in a minute on my flickr account,
would anyone go and take a look ?

F.

My FN49 is a Luxembourg contract rifle. Only about 6,203 were made for the Luxembourg army and is chambered in 30.06. Most of the FN49's you see will be for the Egyptain contracts as about 49,000 were made and are chambered in 8mm. There are many other contracts as well and even some with less numbers made than the Lux.

I do shoot it now and then but must admit it spends most of the time in the safe. It's in excellent shape and I spent many years tracking one down in this condition. I have owned a few FN49's in the past in my quest for this one and now I wish I kept them all. The price for them is going through the roof and I don't see an end in sight.

I think my dad's shot 7.65's, he got it from a friend of his who had a whole case of them.....I remember shooting it, as long as you cleaned it up and oiled it well, it worked great, problem was finding the ammo ( when you have no permit here, you can't buy ammo )

anyway, your reply helped me along again, I'll see what my arrows do when I mount the new WB. At least they're straight now....

For the pics you'll have to wait, I can't take them in this lamp light.

thx

Get a bow square and make sure everything is inline, square, and solid. Replace that screw as well.
