String length is 91 3/4 inches. Cable length is 35 1/2 inches.

so is that right for my bow? 29" Draw length

I get my strings custom made from a local guy who really knows what he's doing. He told me that if someone comes to him for a new string to replace there stock Mathews string he turns them away. He said that Mathews factory strings are better thatn any other after market string out there. He used to replace strings on Mathews bows with his customs or even brand name strings but had too many people come back and say that they have lost a few fps, or that there bow is'nt as quite as before. If I were you I would just order another string from Mathews.

In the past mathews was notorious for poor quality strings , not sure on the 07 models , but anything earlier than that they were junk , gibblet , or vaportrail , will supply you with an excellent quality string .

Wow, I never heard that. It's weird that this guy would say that. He is well known in the tri-state area as the archery expert. Even the guys at BassPro send there customers to him for new strings.

I’ve never heard that, unless itcame from aMathews dealer. Just because a string loses a few FPS does not make it not as good. I would rather have a string made of 452X than 8125. I know the string will be a few FPS slower, but it will not keep stretching and that is more important to me. I don’t like things changing on my bow-draw length, cam timing, peep rotating, ect. This is some thing I value more than a few FPS.
Not to mention that you can’t see the difference in a few FPS with out the help of a chrono, but you will notice the difference if your bow goes out of tune.
