Ripcord or QAD Pro HD Rest? Which way to go.
 

Just wondering what anybody thinks about these two fall-away rests. I realize the QAD costs more, but is it worth it? Appreciate any input.

I can't comment on the Quad rest because I've never owned one. I had a Ripcord on my Hoyt Trykon and it worked real well. The only concern I had with it was that it made a little noise on draw withcertain arrows. However I didn't have any of the felt tape that it came with installed either, so I'm sure that would have solved the noise. It's a good rest.

I have sold, installed, and personally used both rests. I preferred the Ripcord, but to me neither compares to the Limb Driver;)

THe ripcord is cheaper and does almost the same things the QAD does except for a few. It will contain your arrow full even before the shot. But it won't stay up on a slow let down. It may bounce back up upon release for whetever reason, but I think you get what you pay for in this rest.

The QAD HD Pro is the newest rest from QAD so it will have all of the goodies offered by them. It will have lock down technology so the luancher arm does not bounce back up and interfere with your fletchings. It also contains your arrow fully even on a slow let down. It is up to you but I think on either rest you get what you pay for, it just depends on what features you like and are you willing to pay for them.

Im with Dan , Qad and ripcoard are not in the same leage as vaportrails limbdriver , I thouht the whammy was allmost as good but on a recent swithout the limbdriver has proven its unbeatable .

VaporTrail, They really are the best drop away rest I have used or setup out of several different models.

The QAD Hunter model is good enough, is easy to set-up and makes very little noise when firing an arrow.Theother models have more feaures. I have no experience with the Ripcord.

The 18"+ cord on the limbdriver would bother me when it comes to deer hunting anywhere near brush. Just my $.02

I always have tosmile when I hear someone say that. A compoundbow has 2 cables and 1 string on it not counting the Limb Driver cord. I would say walking through heavy brush will affect the Limb Driver cord the least of any of them. I wouldn't let the idea of trouble with the cord stop you from trying the Limb Driver. Someday you might regret that;)

My QAD works perfectly. Therefore, I'm not sure why I would regret not trying the limbdriver? ;);)

I'm not a bandwagon type of guy. I get amazed at how many people jump on a bandwagon as soon as a few people say 1 thing is the best there ever was.Whether is hunting equipment or electronics.

The cables and string are under much higher tension and also not connected to my rest. Think of a shoelace hanging compared to the part that's tied into an eyelet. The limb driver cord would be the first thing to get grabbed bybrush.
