$300 setup

ok guys archery season is only a few months away and i still dont have a new bow yet for this season...im 17 and i outgrew my old bow and its time i get a full size one that i cant grow out of....i would like to get a new setup for under $300 (not inclusing the small crap like releases and arrows). i dont mind buying a used bow thats allready setup with sights and such. so what brand/model would you guys recomend for a setup in my price range? and help is greatly appreciated.....

For that price range, I'd look at Martin Bows. They make great bows. Maybe the Orion or Quest. :)

I would definately check into the Fred Bear Element. Excellant shooting machine, can shoot with the best of them and not to bad on your pocket. I think they are running around $299. This is a very good shooting bow and is of excellant quality for the money.....Hope this helps.

Heck, for $400 you can get into a new Martin Bengal. Sweet shooting bow.

At $299 you can get into the Parker Buckhunter. Been redesigned and has the parallel limbs now.

Heck I bought a Mathews LX, unfired, for $200 on ebay back in February.

Keep an eye on ebay, for sure. You can catch archery shops selling closeouts on there pretty often, like the Fred Bear TRX I got for $200 a while back.

If there's any way possible you can scrounge up another hundred bucks, $400 will get you a Diamond Rapture.

You said you were looking for a setup so I'm taking a sight and rest into the mix. I checked my local archery shop (lancaster archery supply) and they have a Fred Bear TRX32 package deal on sale now for $299. Comes with sight, rest, stabilizer, quiver, wrist strap and arrows.

I agree. Especially the PSE Deerhunter.$200! You CANNOT beat that bow for the price. It comes with everything you need. I used to shoot it and got 2 deer with it. I'll warn you though, it doesnt have all those crazy gadgets on it like bowtech and hoyt have to make it look all fancy, but whats important is the shooter. If you practice this bow can do wonders for you. If not that bow, id say the Parker Buckhunter...also a very nice bow.
