STRING QUESTION

About how many shots does it take for a new string to find it's happy spot? Also is itbest to shoot it for a while before you add a loop and peep? I'm trying to do a set up with out having to use rubber tubing for the peep. Thanks joe

RE: STRING QUESTION

I use strings from gibblet. It took about 50 shots to have it shot in. I didn't add the peep until I put the 50 shots on it. I did put a loop on right away.

RE: STRING QUESTION

If the peep is originally installed so that when you draw it is aligned you can usually train the peep to come straight back by making sure you turn the peep so it is aligned when the bow is just sitting there. The string is going to turn that way when you draw and if you train it to already be turned it will not rotate any further. Check the alignment before and after work andduringshooting. Thisshould train the peep to come straight back when you draw.

However, if you have access to a press you should shoot50 shots or so and then add it. You still may have to train the peep though.
