If the arrow is spinning like it should be,how could aligning the fletch possibly make any differance?

I've heard of it, but I have also heard of Big Foot and haven't seen one yet!
Bob, just so you know you were hunting with bigfoots little brother last weekend. Don't you remember having to look for him in the woods?
I remember, but I hate to say Ausie-guy and big in the same sentence.:D

I’ve tried both and there is no difference. But remember you need to spin test your broad heads and make sure they are not wobbling. If your BH is straight with your arrow you should be good to go.

Don't waste your time, it doesn't do anything.

Precisely! And of course, the object is to get it spinning as fast as possible. the faster it spins, the more accurate it will be.

I do it, but only seem to gain about 1-2fps. But the only reason I do it is because it looks perty!:DAligning your heads and vanes/feathers, dont seem to make any difference, but I have heard that if you do that, you will have a perfectly tuned arrow??? I dont know if theres any evidence to this or not. And my arrows shoot the same way with or with them aligned.

It looks pretty, that's about it though. I do it sometimes, other times I don't. Pretty much impossible with carbon arrows unless you are building your own arrows and fletch them before you put the inserts in. Well I guess you could screw in a broad head in and mark the shaft where the blades are then refletch to match that. You might get close I guess.

Aluminums are fairly easy, just heat up the tip and turn it. And hope it still spines true after messing with it.

I have a question for you then, if you were going to do this do you line up the front of the front of the fletch with the blades or the back of the fletch?;) What kind of tolerance do you have for being off? What if you use a two blade head or a 4 blade head?

In the end do whatever makes YOU comfortable. If you think it makes a difference then do it, if you don't then don't waste your time unless you want your arrows to look pretty.

Paul
