Drop away rest
 

I've been looking around at different drop away rests and wondering what some of you personally use and if you can give me a link to get some more information on that particular rest. I was looking at the trophy takers but I'm not sure. Also how hard are these to setup?

I have some help but I'd like to know in advance if this is something to leave to a professional or if it's fine to be a newbie and tune this part of the bow up yourself with some trial and error. From what I've been told it's no big deal to put one of these on and it seems pretty simple

Oh and from my previous post about draw length, I stopped by the shop and after adding an ultra-nok and adjusting the kisser I think the draw length is good at 28".I'm looking at a new rest as the one on the bow is just a springer with the two prongs and it's occasionally moving. The threads are worn out so something needs to be done if I want any kind of accuracy out of this bow. The rest of it seems fine, I've probably shot ita few hundred times and this is the only problem I've had for a cheap used bow that's not too bad! I can probably fix this with a helicoil kit, but I shot a few bows with drop aways and really liked them. I know there can occasionally be reliability issues but I'm not hunting or entering any tournaments so if the timing is thrown off on a bad day I dont care. Can fix it up later

I have sold, set up, and shot most of the dropaways currently on the market. While there are several good ones out thereI think the cream of the crop is the VaporTrail Limb Driver. The new 07 Limb Driver Pro is simple to setup and tune;)

The vaportrail looks pretty cool, I like how it attaches to the limb rather than the cables. Does it work just as well on a split limb system like the vectrix as it does on an older bow like a pse nova?

I use the Ripcord drop-away on my bow and I love it. My buddy has a whisker biscuit and after shooting my bowhe wants to buy a Ripcord as soon as he can. I don't have the website but just Google it.

I use the QAD, and love it, but the LimbDriver is awesome as well. Lots of guys switching to them at the shop I go to. and yes, the split limb bows are awesome with them.

After playing with several I'd say that my favorite thus far is the Rip Cord. I haven't had a chance to play with either the Limb Driver or MZE though.

The 07 Limb Driver Pro is available in either the Solid limb model or the Split limb model. Both work equally as well;)
