~Can drawlength be determined by string length ?

hello all,

There is a bow I've been looking at, however the seller is unsure of the drawlength.
I know the bow string is currently - 52.5
would this be a indication of what the draw length is currently set at ?

many thanks !

carlos

Absolutely not.

Have him measure it like this, a vertical line from deepest part of the grip transfered up to the arrow shelf measured to the nock groove at full draw, and then add 1.75". This is the AMO standard.

Does the bow have cams with modules on it? If so you can get the number off the module and contact the manufacturer

sounds like a hoyt string, but if you can get the year and name of the bow, you can look up what string length matches that at the hoyt website thru this link: http://www.hoyt.com/technical/charts.tpl
