RE: Epic vs. Axis

price and straightness. axis is more expensive, but straighter by a small percantage i do believe. weight may be different. i shot epics this passed year. i dont have anything to compare them to...but they held up to 1000s of shots(i can shoot out to 40yds in my back yard and do so verrrrrry often) for the price id say they are a good arrow...i had no problems with them. call me crazy but out of 10 i could screw broadheads on all of them and shoot them all in the same group...had no problems with them flying different like i hear stories of...im only switching because i dont like how light they are...

alot of guys here shoot axis...they will chim in im sure...i cant say i remember hearing any complaints about them

I've been shooting Axis arrows for the past 3.5 years, and I love them. I've had a few dozen over the years and I don't plan on switching anytime soon. They provide excellent penetration and great durability. I highly recommend them. As far as the epic, they are slightly larger in diameter for certain sizes and in the weaker spined arrows they are a little bit lighter. They also use the H-nock system instead of the x-nock. You can't go wrong with either arrow.

Axis FMJ are awesome arrows and provide good weight and straightness. +/-.002" on the straightness tolerances

So, should I stay clear of the epics? I will be shooting Axis, but a friend is wondering about the Epics, so i was checking. I did see they were cheaper, just looking for reviews i guess.
Thanks

I shoot the epics and haven't had any problems yet. They fly true, spin true and should make a great hunting arrow. I haven't had the chance to hunt with them yet because I got them after last season ended but I think the small diameter and extra weight is going to be a nice upgrade over the gold tip XT's I shot last season.

RE: Epic vs. Axis

I have AXIS ST's. They are expensive, about $120/dz. But I figure that my bow set up is $1100, so why go cheap on the arrow set. I do like the way they fly,& hold up. There are a lot of good arrows out there. The only thing i don't like about AXIS, is when I lose them, & the $15 I've lost[&o]!
