Equalizer vibe
I noticed hand shock on my equalizer. Can anyone suggest what works for you to reduce the vibration? I had the hush kit that came with the bow. I used a doinker 5" then switched to the s-coil but still felt vibration.

STS or MeanV. I was a skeptic until I tried one. What a difference it makes with both sound and vibration.
I actually removed one of my stabilizers and also removed my string silencers after installing the STS. Bow is quieter without string silencers. Ask a shop to try one out and see before buying if you are skeptical. Mine is set just off the string. However, you need to adjust it to find the best spot. |
RE: Equalizer vibe
I have an S-coil teamed up with my STS to curb what little vibration my Mathews has.
On my bow, having the STS right on the string works the best for me. Best of luck. |
RE: Equalizer vibe
Your bow almost hoped out fo your hand when you took the STS off Josh!!!!;) just kidding.
You're just lucky the shop had some in stock or you would have had to shoot me to get yours back. Yes, it worked that well. |

Dave,
You saw what happened my third arrow of the day didn't you. Yeah...I'll get my STS back no problem. If I don't have pass thru on you the first arrow, I will use my second as a hammer! lol :D |
RE: Equalizer vibe
I test fired the equalizer and felt the shock you're talking about. I noticed it in the riser more than the string.
I would recommend a longer/heavier stabilizer to soak up some of that shock. I use a Doinker multi-rod and like it. I would also put on a meanv2 css. I'd put on an extra pair of limbsavers too. Simms also makes a thin strip of their navcom rubber that you can stick on your grip/front of the riser. I'd try some of that too. Check out cabelas...I saw where simms now has something that you can add to your limb bolts to soak up more vibration. PSEcame out with these awhile back I think. If I buy an equalizer next year...I'll slap some of those on too. Man if that equalizer had less shock, It'd be the best bow around. (for me anyways) It just had too much shock for me when I was in the market. It's a shame you have to invest another 50-100 bucks onrubber to put on that thing to tame thevibration. I'll try one next year maybe. |
RE: Equalizer vibe
Thanks all.
It's funny. When I tested it in the shop, I didn't felt much vibration. |
