New way to get performnace specs for bows.
I discovered this interesting site while I was at Mac's Praire Wings, while I was in Stuttgart, Ar.Thesite is very interesting tell you just about any thing you need to know your correctspine, arrow speed, Ke, arrow mph an Ke at any yardage. Do not know how accurate, but it described my bow to the T. If, you already know about this, well I have not told you anything. It even hasa print out that you can set your pins up with an they say it is accurate.
Just go to "archers advantage" The only problem you have to purchase it or go to MPW in stuttgart,Ar. |

I didn't know about this. Where is that located on their site? I'm looking around in there right now.
I've started to use OnTarget2 to play with just about every variable you can think of for arrows. |

I wish you could use it but you have to buy the download. The site can tell you how much KE you will have at 50 yards with what arrow even how fast the arrow is going in mph. They give you a sight tape that you can put your sights on the print out an set them according the numbers you put infor your bow. The thing even shows trajectory out to 100 yds an etc etc.

Oh, I didn't read your post fully. Archer's Advantage is supposed to be a very good program. I was torn between the 2. OnTarget will let you download a demo version to try out before purchase.

It's one of the three major archery software products available. I can't remember if I have tried it or not. A few people here have it. The other two are OnTarget2 by Pinwheel archery and TAP (The Archery Program). I have OnTarget and have used TAP. Both are pretty good.

I have Archers Adv and OT2. I like OT2 because it lets you put in more variables (eg. string silincers) when figuring out arrow specs and such. Archers Adv prints much better targets. On the whole it seems you can get to the same place with either one.

For comparison sake. TFOX uses Archer's Advantage and I use OnTarget2.
A guy a few weeks ago was asking if his arrows were too stiff or weak. We both put on his variables and got almost the exact same result for his set-up. |

I've got Archers Advantage and it seems pretty darn accurate so far. I haven't used it all that much yet.

I have been using TAP for about the last 3 years.
As is the case with all of these programs, you need to input good data in order to get good results. Measurements, arrow speeds, bow weights, etc...are critical to getting the most accurate information possible. |
