Zero Effect Fletch Contact
 

I have a new Hoyt Vulcan. I put a Muzzy Zero Effect arrow rest on it. I have had very good results with the rest before. My bow seems to be shooting very well, but i am noticing smooth spot apperaring on my mole skin and a black mark starting to form on my down fletching. I hat to mess with anything due to the fact that is shooting good. Should I raise my nocking point a little to get clearance or is there another way I should try?

You know I have had the same issue with my MZE for years. I have two of em, different bows, but also see this. I think it should be set up higher, maybe by turning the cable guard higher. But like you, didn't want to mess up my tune.

If I understand you right you’re shooting with your cock vane down and its hitting the rest. By shooting with it up you will have more clearance .That might be enough to fix the problem.

Arrow said the same thing I was thinking... and I'm sure you're already doing this, but make sure the rest comes up at the very last possible moment; that will ensure that it falls at the first possible moment.

This could very well be the solution as Greg said. I was having a problem of fletching contact and thought I had everything correct. After I turned the sleeve another 1/2 turn so that it was rising at near the very end of my draw, it was perfect.;)
