tuning question
 

when i draw back my bow, on the top cam the string angles off to the left, i know i am not torqueing the grip, because i have had other people try it also with the same results. it's not the string either, my old string did it, and now my new Gibblet string does it. any ideas are welcome, my rest is also also off to the left, i assume to compensate for it. also i am right handed

Sounds like something that a Hoyt pro shop should look at.

It sounds normal to me. My Trykon appears the same.
The string will be off to the side because the bottom cam is off to the left and not centered in the limbs.
TFOX may have the answer.

Most Hoyts I am familiar with have vertical string tracking.Alot of 1 cams will run at an angle and i am not sure about the trykon but I believe it should be vertical as well.


It sounds to me like you are describing cam lean and the top cam can be adjusted.With the Hoyts,you will need to have the yoke served so it will not float anymore and then twist the side that has the lean to adjust it stright.


You have aftermarket strings so you probably don't have a floating yoke anymore so it should be even easier to adjust.Take it to a proshop and have them check for cam lean.

It its an older bow your bearings/bushings may be worn , or camlean as mentioned before . I have bought 2 bows new in the past that came from the factory with bad bearings , a darton and a mathews .
