RE: trophy ridge dropzone
I've used the Drop Zone on several bows. It is not very tollerent of a bow that does not draw smooth.
I had one on my Trykon and removed it because the cams breaking over caused the arrow to jump the same way you describe. I'd look for another rest w/ better containment. You don't want to risk a nice buck or possibly injury to yourself. I put a QAD ultra on the Trykon. It works pretty well. |
RE: trophy ridge dropzone
Check first that you are not getting any nock pinch. That could cause your arrow to lift of the arm.
Is the arrow jumping or lifting?? If it is lifting then it is most likely the nock pinch. |
RE: trophy ridge dropzone
I'd say for sure you got nock pinch.

RE: trophy ridge dropzone
It certainly sounds like a nock pinch issue to me. The Trophy Ridge Drop Zone is NOT known for having problems. It is indeed an excellent choice for the serious bowhunter! I have never experienced ANY problems with the several DZ's I have put on numerous rigs of my own. Good luck and good shootin'

RE: trophy ridge dropzone
Yeah the only problem I had with my drope zone was when the two rods that the launcher slides on get dirty it will start to stick a bit. I dont care if your cams drop of fast or dont draw smooth, you shouldnt be having the problem you discrided. If like archery58 said is true, I think the problem is more because of too much draw weight.
