Twisting String to Correct Peep

I have an issue with peep rotation. Question is: How exactley do you twist the string to correct. I assume I have to press, then do I remove the string and completely twist it. Or can the string be twisted while still attached to the axle? Dumb question, just don't really know. Thanks, Gingus

You have to have a press, press the bow so the string is slack then take the string off the peg and either add or subract 1/2 a twist put string back on the post then unpress the bow.

You could also just move a strand or two of the string around the peep so it is in a slightly different spot prior to rotation?

Before you adjust anything, make sure your string is stable. If it's new, shoot it a few hundred times before adjusting. If it's older, and is a lower quality string that has a lot of creeping/stretching to do, you may find that you have to frequently put a twist into it.

do you mean that when you pull it back it moves either right/left?

that happens to me on occasion so i justturnmy loop hole, if you use one of those. if you dont then i would take it to a pro shop.

And an eye patch to go with it.

Actually, this may not be the corect the way to do it, but I usually just turn my D loop a little so that when I clip my release on, it aligns the peep for me.

Be careful with this one... it's the best way to break a strand if done at full poundage. I'll still press the bow to do this. To rotate the peep 1/4 turn twist the string at the bottom cam, for 1/2 rotation either remove the peep and reverse it or twist 1/2 turn at the top cam. If you've got a solocam you're stuck working from the bottom cam only.

Using the loop to correct rotation works for small corrections but I don't like to rely on it, it's a patch not a fix, same with the peep aligner/tubing.

Re-tie it. Take the peep out, put it back in so it's opened up, and re-tie. Just be careful when doing this, because depending on how tight you pull the line, you will twist the peep around.Or.......

Let me see if I can explain this....Tie the peep in without running the thread around your string above and below the peep. Tie it around the peep, if you will. That will eliminate that torquing effect and your string won't spin after it's tied...Hope I spained that right....

A good string will help as well.
