One thing I started doing in competition was to leave the carbon arrow setup at home on a windy day and using the bow I had set up for 2315's. The wind didn't affect those big ol' logs nearly as much as it messed with the carbons.

Tip for shooting in the wind: If you've got a level on your sight, tip the top limb into the wind until the bubble slips to the other side of the level. It makes it easier to hold and puts a bit of pressure on one side of the arrow to drive it upwind a touch.
Hmmm... now that I think of it, I know this works with prong rests but I wonder if it works as well with drop aways?
