I use Dalton High-Speed Conditioning, which I got at Cabelas but I'm sure you can find it around.

BCY ML-60 is the best in my opinion. You apply it all over the string/serving and you don't rub it in with your fingers. You use a piece of leather. The friction from your fingers can actually cause your string to fray. BCY's wax is designed to penetrate your serving and lubricate the string beneath.

Another good wax is Bohning Xccelerator.

My string snapped three years ago. It had dried out underneath the serving and that caused a weak point. Since then I always wax everything.

Any wax that has a silicone base to it will work. The silicone base will penetrate the serving to get to the strands beneath them.

Thanks, I didn't think I was crazy, I have been waxing the serving also but it has small white hair like fibers all over it I guess its starting to fray, If I replace the string what is a good replacement. Its an 85in
Thanks
