Which size Biscuit???
I think i'n goin going to give the biscuit a try...i shoot GT Xt Hunters and Maxima 250's...i looked on their site and their sizing chart lists 17xx, 20xx, 23xx and 26xx sizes...and all arrow companies list their OSD in hundreds of an inch....does any one have a conversion chart that would help me?
Thanks, Bo |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
17=.265
20=.3125-----5/16" 23=.359 26=.406 |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
They're in 1/64's of an inch.I try to use the next bigger size biscuit than what they recommend--seems more forgiving and accurate to me.:)

RE: Which size Biscuit???
I'd go big.
Are the XT hunters shiny smooth? |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
ORIGINAL: jsasker 17=.265 20=.3125-----5/16" 23=.359 26=.406 17 = .265 20 = .3125-----5/16" 23 = .359 26 = .406 And does your second answer mean that the 17 thru 26 sizes have only a 1/64 difference between them? Thanks again, Bo |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
ORIGINAL: DaveC I'd go big. Are the XT hunters shiny smooth? Thanks, Bo |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
I'm thinking (in my experience) even the smoothest of arrows will make some noise during the draw so there is no way I could see a rough arrowbeing drawn on a deer with the biscuit in your average hunting scenario.
I haven’t seen the newer Gold tips, but the older one’s I’m familiar with were very rough. Maybe I'm wrong, but I'd think a smoother arrow is your safer bet with the biscuit. |
RE: Which size Biscuit???
The first 2 numbers are arrow size in1/64's, the second 2 numbers are for wall thickness.:)
