Vectrix-Drawstop peg
I was wonderinghow many ofyou remove the drawstop peg to get a softer wall, and if so, is that a tiny allen head screw holding it in?

RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
Yes, it is a tiny allen screw holding it in. 1/16thallen wrench will work.

Not a problem.
Love helping out fellow Hoyt fans. ;) |
RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
Not to hijack the thread, but why would you want a softer wall?
Seems to me this would create an inconsistent draw... Or maybe I'm wrong? |
RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
Not with a kisser.

RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
Some people have difficulty holding at full draw w/ a solid wall. The cam wants to "take off" on you when you aren't ready sometimes. Softer walls are sometimes the way to go.
You can change the % of let off by moving that peg to the other hole. |

RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
creeping into the valley,inconsistancy

RE: Vectrix-Drawstop peg
There are a few records that were set by shooting out of the valley. Some people prefer it.
You must creep tune if you are shooting a softer wall. This will allow for a shot to hit the same up and down even if the shot is taken a little further forward or back. I remember watching a guy shoot 3-d with a 2 cam Hoyt several years ago.He would pull back to the tip of the arrow and place it right on the edge and that was where he shot everytime.Right out of the valley and I saw him shoot perfect 300 scores more than once. Yeah, the wall has become the preferred method today but there are still a few that like the old way. |
