Dropzone fletching contact?

I'm new to bow hunting and am in the process of setting up my bow (Fred Bear Code 26" draw length 70lbs) and hope you guys can help. I decided to go with a Trophy Ridge Dropzone Guide Series rest. Now I can't keep my fletching from making contact. I had the rest installed at the local archery shop and had them adjust the center point and nock point. Like I said I'm new bow hunting and would like to know were to go from here to get this corrected. I understand the importance of a properly tuned bow and want to get this taken care of before I start hunting with it.

I'm sure they did, but make sure they attached the cable to the down pulling buss cable.....And make sure the rest is coming all the way up.If you aren't already, shoot cock vane up. If that still doesn't do it, put a drop of 3 in 1 oil (or something similar) on the retractor spring. Sometimes they get all "gunked" up and the rest simply doesn't fall fast enough.

mobowhuntr thanks for the advice. The cable is attached to the down pulling buss cable. The rest is coming all the way upbut it does so inthe middle of my arrow. Thanks for the other tips I'll give those a try.

If it's coming up in the middle of the arrow, it's not falling away in time. Your drop cable is attached to the buss cable to low....It's coming up toosoon and staying up too long.

Correct. If u can move the drop cord up or have the shop do it for you, the restarm should first contact the arrow about 6 inches before you come to full draw.

This is a Email i sent them last year and they sent me a rebuild kit. Kinda sounds like your issue

Nothing has changed on the bow since i put the drop zone on it in march. i'm a heavy shooter, probaly around 500 arrows a weekend. the rest performed flawlesly until this weekend, first shot out of the
box i noticed a slap on the rest. second shot it destroy my fletching on contact. placed some oil on the spring on the guide. it worked fine the rest of the night.Pulled the bow out today and shot 8 arrows , every arrow hit the bar as it passed by leaving marks on the vane.

I had a buddy with this same problem with his drop rest.
He ended up raising the rest from the setup the shop did.
Took him a few minutes and some experimental shots, but he got it
figured out and now it works great for him .
