2 things draw length and technique
 

1. I plan on getting a new bow within the next couple months but I'm worried about a couple things. I have been to a couple different bow shops and have been measured up for my draw length. one place tells me 27 and the other 28 inches. I know the obvious thing to do would be go to 27.5 but how can I know what the perfect draw length for me is, and also will different releases change the way the draw length affects me.


2. is there any websites that have like pictures and descriptions of compound shooting techniques I know I sound like I'm over worried but I'm just one of those people who tries to have all of my gear perfect and my shooting technique perfect before the time to take the big shot comes.

I don't know about your draw length but I do know that releases change things alot. I have been shoot the Pro Diamond with my Trykon. I felt it was a little short at 28.5 so I dumped in new cams to make it 29. At the same time I had picked up the Chocolate Lite release and was shooting that with a different bow. When I shot the Trykon it seemed shorter to me. Well turns out that the Chocolate Lite is about 3/4 of an inch shorter. Makes me pull the bow that much closer to anchor in the same place. So with the Pro Diamond the Trykon at 29 feels great. With the Chocolate I use my xTec at 29.5 and it is still a tad bit short. I much prefer the Chocolate release so my next bow will be ordered either 29.5 or 30.

most bows on the market use cams that are adjustable or have different size modules where the Dl can be changed to fit your DL once you select the bow you intend on buying
your draw length can be adjusted to fit you and this is something that a good archery dealer will do for you at no extra charge before youever leave the store with your new bow.
if you are buying on line I suggest you buying a bow that has adjustable cams JM.02
