cresting

hey guys...

would it be possible for me to crest some of my carbon arrows with like an automotive spray paint?? i could just mask a straight line and paint it up to that... would the fletching glue eat the paint though??? i am curious because i have like a million different color choices if it would work it would be fun

fufanu...

The best advice I can offer is to try it and let us know how it works out for you. Not too many people have a lot of exposure to automotive paint (or choose it as a substitute to just spray paint). Just strip an arrow down and give it a whirl, you may want to try a couple different adhesives, but just about any "should" work, unless they have some sort of ketone or acetone base, which I don't think very many have.

I just use regular super glue on every, and it works fine, lol.

I used to cap my arrows with Rust-O-Leum spray paint...if you are just wanting a solid cap or fade.....I've never used auto paint but I'm sure it will work.
