Congrats on the new bow. I am tempted to pick one up as well. Considering the modifications done on the design it should prove to be an even more attractive package than last season.

I put in my order for my '07 Allegiance last night... I love the Allegiance so much that I kept mine from '06, and I'll have the Black Ice and Guardian hanging beside it -- but I think I'm looking forward to my '07 Ally as much if not more than the Guardian. They'll certainly get a workout to see which one makes it on my elk trip this year.

The 07 ally, is one of the bows that I am considering this year. It should make an awesome hunting bow

My dealer traded my 05 Allegiance for the 07 at little cost. Just a under $100.

Have not put the chrono to it yet but it seems lighter and faster. Like the option of being able to change out the grips.

Cool I didn't realize there was the option to change the grips. The lighter weight must be nice. Did the feel change, vibration hand shock or anything.

The time I got to shoot it there was no hand shock or vibration from the bow. Been working alot, not really much time to shoot till after Christmas.

Glad to hear you like the alley. I'm still waiting to shoot the Guardian, but I did shoot the new 07 Allegience. Thinking of replacing my 05 Alley with it. I'm leaning toward it as I am still reserved about the Guardian. Too many moving parts on it and I'm concerned about wear in the long term with it.

Ash, are you referring to the difference between the Guardian and Allegiance? If so, I don't know yet, didn't get the guardian in yet to shoot it.:D All I know at this point is that Allegiance has been haunting my dreams since I shot it.:D

Oh, gotcha.;) Well, for me, its a number of things that stand out. The weight is a huge difference. Much lighter than the 05 and I might add, sharper looking. Also, even though its not new for 07, I really liked the draw length modules and choice of smooth and speed mods. The other thing that really stood out was the narrower grip. I always did like Hoyt's grips when I shot them. Now, the Bowtechs have a very similar feel in my opinion.

As I said, i'm very reserved on the Guardian yet. I know its going to be shooter, but the moving parts thing has me worried over the long haul. Maybe I'll wait a year or so on that particular design to see how things shake out and go buy that Allegiance.;)

Ash, I got to shoot the Allegiance yesterday. It was shooting bullet holes right out the box, no hand shock or vibrations.Checked it on the chrono, shooting 275 fps with 29" carbon express 350 arrow and 100 gr field tip. The bow is set up 71Lbs 29" draw with a kisser,string loop, peep and standard factory dampners. I received one bow hickey from shooting open hand, I think I'll keep my hand closed from now on, The Allegiance will sure let ya know the force and power behind it when you get your forearm in the way.

do you guys know the difference between the tribute and the ally?im in the market and any help would be greatly appreciated,thanks mike

Mike, obviously I could quote you all the technical differences... but you can go to www.bowtecharchery.com and read all those for yourself.

Bottom line is the Ally is a tad longer axle-to-axle, but picks up a good amount of feet per second over its twin... I wrote recently that just about to a person, everyone I knew that was fortunate enough to own both simultaneously (myself included) always chose the Ally over the Trib when it came time to walk out the door with one of them. Both are great bows, but the Ally is just as good as the Trib and it's faster to boot.

I personally like the 07 Tribute better than the 07 Allegiance. Reasons are as follows:

1) Larger Brace Height
2) Less Vibration
3) Quiter
4) Riser Lengths are the same therefore at full draw ATA means nothing
5) If speed is all that matters, than the allegiance wins in this category

I got an 07 Allegiance. I also have an 06. I like the reduced weight of the 07. Thedifference IS noticeable. The grip ismy favorite to date. The Brush camo on mine is really sharp. As usual, the 07 Allegiance shoots great.
