RE: Hoyt Havotec, any good?

They were made in 2002 and 2003.

2002 had 4 different cam options;

accuwheel
command
excell
versa (most popular)

2003 had 1 option;

cam 1/2

I have a friend that loves his 2003 model but it just isn't for me.

Check out the Hoyt tune charts for more info.

RE: Hoyt Havotec, any good?

I had both the Excel cam and the Versacam version of the Havoctec and was quite impressed with its design for the time. It had fairly low levels of recoil and vibration plus the adjustability of the cam design made it great for fine tuning draw length and the feel of the draw cycle.
